At AGS Duqm we want to create reflective, engaged and excited learners. Our pupils will be stimulated to be curious and ask questions. We aim to develop them to be independent and we encourage a growth mind-set. Children will be encouraged to extend themselves. We want our children recognise that failure and making mistakes is part of the learning process, encouraging them to take risks. We will teach children to be resilient through problem solving and challenging lessons. Pupils will take their learning forwards by explaining their reasoning and choices. Vocabulary will be explicitly taught and referred to throughout lessons to ensure that everyone can reach their full potential.
We have a team of experienced international standards teaching staff who are skilled to nurture excellence, offer students a vibrant and challenging environment for learning. With the appropriate resources available, the teaching and support staff aim to develop independent and creative minds whilst equipping pupils with the capability of achieving their aspirations - both academically and morally. This will go a long way in enabling students to respond to the rapidly changing world in which they will pursue further study and work in the time to come. The Duqm branch aims to play a major role in the development of the educational ecosystem in the port town, where it will bring families and companies together for the betterment of the community by fulfilling educational needs and requirements.
